The software available in utilities covers many of the items inside the roadpac and hydropac packages. These utilities will be provided if required for those clients who have not purchase the Gold version of Keays software. Individual utilities can be purchased if desired.

Roadpac - allplot

The ALLPLOT module is a general purpose plot file translator which is used for:

• Translating KEAYS plot files into other formats
• Loading plot files into a CAD system.
• Sending plot files for directly printing

Plot translations can be directed to a file or plotted directly. Allplot supports all popular plotters and CAD system formats including HPGL, HPGL2, and DXF formats

Dongle:

You may have seen dongles before. AutoCAD and 3D studio max both packaged with one.

At Keays software we can provide flexibility by providing you with a dongle or a getsec licence.

Keays Software dongles are pretty easy to install. It simple a matter of plugging it into your standard 25 pin parallel port. (The big one. NOT the serial mouse port (9 pin). Generally there is only one on a standard desktop PC). The 25 pin port is referred to as LPT:.
Today it is now called a "ECP Printer Port". Keays Software currently supports and maintains large network installation via a networked dongle.

Keays AutoCAD interface:

The KEAYS Software AutoCAD Interface application is a series of utilities that run, as an AutoDesk Development System (ADS) program, in AutoCAD Release 12 and AutoCAD Runtime Extension (ARX) for AutoCAD Release 13 and 14. ADS and ARX programs are similar to Auto LISP programs however they are written in the compiled language "C" rather than the interpreted language LISP. Programming in "C" allows far more flexibility than LISP and also enables the software protection to be enabled. Having a compiled interface will protect you from viruses.

The KEAYS Software AutoCAD Interface was written after numerous suggestions that AutoCAD should be better integrated into the design process when using KEAYS. KEAYS Software are committed to developing more integrated solutions for this Interface and welcome any suggestions that will do so.
